Richard

Richard Travers is a music educator, choral conductor, and voice and piano instructor serving Westwood, MA and the Greater Boston area. He holds a Master’s Degree in Choral Conducting from the Boston Conservatory and a degree in Music Education from Berklee College of Music.

 

A retired Newton Public Schools educator (1976–2010), he directed choirs at Newton North High School and has served in leadership roles with the Newton Community Chorus, Fine Arts Chorale, Masterworks Chorale, Fitchburg State University, and the New England Conservatory Youth Chorale.

 

He has conducted internationally, including in Europe, Canada, Australia, and the United States. He also offers private lessons and music lectures from his Westwood studio.
